What is a Parks and Trails Plan?

    The Parks and Trails Plan is a long-term planning document that will guide future improvements and investments in parks and trails. This plan will set priorities for the next 10-15 years.

    How can I participate in the planning process?

    ▪ Complete the online survey by December 10, 2025. 

    ▪ Attend an in-person or virtual open house.

    ▪ Provide feedback during the second round of engagement when the draft plan is released (anticipated in Spring 2026).

    Who is leading this project?

    The project is being led by the Town of Huntsville with support from consultants LEES + Associates and Monteith Brown Planning Consultants.

    How will my input be used?

    This Fall, your input will help shape the vision, priorities, and recommendations that will go into the draft plan. In the spring, a second round of engagement will be held to review the draft and gather additional feedback before finalizing the plan.

    Will there be more opportunities to provide input?

    Yes. A draft plan will be shared for public review and feedback in a second round of engagement to be held in Spring 2026.
